Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags

Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bags are a way for moms to store breast milk for their babies.

Pros: These bags are thick and have a double zip closure, this helping prevent against freezer burn and possible leaks. They are easy to close and stay closed.  They are BPA free which adds that sense of security while using them.  The ounces are measured on the outside of the bag  and there is also a place for you to write the date and ounces at the  top of the bag.  You can lay these flat to freeze and they don't take up a lot of space.  It is very easy to pour milk into these and they have a great pouring feature when you unthaw milk to pour it into a bottle.  When you buy these in a 25 count pack, they come in another nice ziplock bag.  This bag lets you know how long to store breast milk in a freezer which I thought was helpful as I could never remember on my own.

Cons:  These might a bit pricey for moms having to use them all of the time.  However, I think the pros of how good this bag is makes the price worth it.  I have also on occasion had these bag leak which usually happens when you thaw it out.  Most times the milk is lost which is frustrating.  I did only have this happen a few times though.

The Bottom Line:  Wonderful breast milk storage bag!

Price:  $6 for 25 bags or $10 for 50 bags

Where to Buy:  Target, Drugstore.com

Rating:  Great

I saw these bags in the store one time, but I couldn't bring myself to pay the high price. Instead I got in the habit of using Ziplock Sandwich sized Freezer bags. If you want to go this way you can get around 150 bags for the same price of 50 of these. I guess they are lacking the poor spout at the top, but I just always cut the corner off the ziplock bag, so I didn't have pouring issues.

Great post and review. Many moms I know use Lansinoh storage bags. Those and Avent seem to be the most popular amongst the nursing mothers in my group of friends. Just make sure the breast milk storage bags you use are BPA-free. Other than that, just be aware of the breast milk storage guidelines set by the CDC and groups like the La Leche Association...

I personally use Lansinoh breast milk storage bags. I've never had a problem with them and just like them...
